People

Dr Gerhard Engel brings 25 years of experience in the scientific software industry serving pharma, biotech, health care, and materials science organizations. He has led the delivery of commercial solutions in diverse areas such as laboratory informatics, data platforms, process automation, image data management, materials modeling & simulation, data analytics, and chemical informatics. As a certified AWS Solutions Architect Professional, he brings a strong background in software systems design, IT operations, and regulatory frameworks.

He holds a PhD in Physics from University of Cambridge/UK. Prior to founding Scifomax, he worked in senior leadership roles at Invicro and at BIOVIA/Dassault Systèmes.
